Cooking with Intention - being rescheduled!

Sunday November 10

11:30 am - 3:30 pm

Tuition: $40 - $80 Sliding Scale

instructor: Karen Lasher

Come spend an afternoon settling into the quiet rhythm of the approaching winter learning to cook with love and intention. Happiness, Contentment, Well Being and Joy are cultivated in our lives by nourishing ourselves through practices, rituals and habits that reinforce and strengthen our ability to connect with each moment. Cooking can be an everyday task that offers us extensive practice in mindfulness. So why not approach cooking from a completely new perspective?

The experience begins with a cacao ceremony, opening us to our heartspace and igniting our creativity. You will set some personal winter intentions, guided by myself, nature and movement. I will then guide you in preparing a vegetarian, allergen friendly, hearty dish in which you will stir in your intentions. There will be mindfulness exercises as part of the cooking process, and you will have the experience of walking through a framework that you can use every day as part of your cooking process.

The journey in this experience begins when you sign up. I encourage you to listen to your truth, and sign up because your inner self is saying Yes. Don’t sign up if you think you should, or someone else is. This is about intention, and the practice of it begins now as you read this and begin to listen to your inner response. After signing up, I will send you a welcome email that includes questions for you to ponder before arriving so that you will be ready to receive an intention as it comes to you from our work with nature and movement. I will also give you all the details you need to make this an afternoon that will nourish your body, mind and spirit.

I have taught hundreds of cooking classes over the years, and always wanted to do a class where I share my soul’s calling. I am so excited to share it with you here. An afternoon where together we get in touch with our beautiful selves, and learn how to affect great change in our life by our cooking.
