There’s nothing quite like summer at TreeSong. Idyllic days spent romping amongst the trees and exploring down by the river. Each day at summer day camp is a magical adventure!

Nature Adventures Day Camps

See like an owl, walk like a fox, howl like a coyote… at TreeSong’s Nature Adventures Day Camps! Through storytelling, art, movement, singing, and nature awareness activities that are designed to awaken the senses, hone physical agility and support a burgeoning knowledge of the natural world around them, children will gain a deepening connection to self, community and nature.

2017 Camp Programs:

4-8 year olds:    August 7th – 9th, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.  Tuition: $130* – FULL!

9-14 year olds July 24th – 28th, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.    Tuition:  $270*

*50% deposit reserves a spot, full payment is due by June 1st.

Nature Adventures Fairy Camp
for 4-8 Year Olds

4-8 Year Olds:  Daily, July 10th-13th, 10:00 am-2:00 pm.

Bring your child to experience the wonder of TreeSong  and the magical world of fairies!  Nature connection and appreciation will be inspired through an immersion into the forest and its inhabitants – animal, plant and otherwise.  Storytelling, art, movement, singing and nature awareness experiences will all be part of the Fairy fun! Tuition:  $175.  50% deposit reserves a spot, full payment is due by June 1st.

Michelle Fox, Founder and Executive Director of TreeSong, will be the facilitator of all the Children’s Summer Camps, fulfilling a 13 year dream to support the wholeness of children (and families) through nature-based exploration and learning. She’s been a teacher of young children for almost 30 years, teaching Art, Spanish, Preschool, Maiden Spirit (program for 9-13 year old girls) and Children’s Yoga!  She’s  also a mother of two and a massage therapist with a private practice in downtown Vancouver.

Nature and Art Adventures Day Camp

for 6 to 10 year olds

July 31st ~ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

 

Artist and professional photographer Marlene Cowan, will support children in slowing down and seeing the world with fresh eyes. In this fun one-day art camp, children 6 to 10 years old will explore drawing and other craft activities in a joyful, uplifting atmosphere, surrounded by the beauty of forest and river. Marlene will help children experience a sense of delight and gain confidence in their artistic abilities.  The day will include:

  • Relaxation exercises and drawing warm-ups
  • Guided nature drawing
  • Nature Mandala Suncatcher
  • Pinecone Mouse Craft
  • Songs, games and stories
  • Nature walk

Tuition:  $45 plus $10 materials fee
PRE-REGISTER BY WED., THE 26TH!

Maximum class size is 8.

  • Drawing materials will be provided.
  • Do pack your child a sack lunch and water bottle to bring.
  • Please make sure your child is wearing sunscreen and sturdy shoes.

She enjoys drawing and other creative pursuits. Marlene is the mother of two adult children and a grandmother of the cutest baby in the whole world!
