Celebration of Spring Cooking Class

with Karen Lasher

 Sat., May 9th,  2pm-5pm

Come celebrate spring with a late afternoon cooking demonstration and meal. We’ll feast on the treasures of spring including peas, asparagus, nettles, sorrel, miner’s lettuce, fiddlehead ferns, and morel mushrooms.  Sit and enjoy the demonstration, or lend a hand with some of the cooking tasks.  It’s going to be a relaxing, delicious afternoon.
  • Fresh Radish with Flavored Salts and Butter
  • Asparagus, Fiddlehead Fern and Lemon Risotto
  • Pea Flan with Wild Mushrooms
  • Sweet Potato, Nettle and Chickpea Soup
  • Flatbread with Sorrel Pesto and Edible Weed Salad
  • Olive Oil cake with Rhubarb Compote
Cost:  $45  ($40 if you pair this class with the Native Plant Stroll.  Learn about native edibles and then see how they’re used in recipes!)
