LOCATION:
Tualatin Hills Nature Park, Beaverton, Oregon
Enjoy bountiful bird song in this beautiful patch of forest nestled between major urban roads. Pacific Wren, Bewick’s Wren, Brown Creeper, Spotted Towhee, Red-breasted Nuthatch and many more are all very vocal here. You’ll learn to open up your ears to the voices around you and come away with a new appreciation for the sounds birds make and how to use this skill, not only to identify the singer but to understand what their voices can tell us.
The flat trails are a mix of paved and dirt, and we probably won’t cover a lot of distance, but you’ll be on your feet the whole time. Dress in layers for a chilly morning. If rain is not in the forecast, please do not wear a nylon raincoat that will make noise when you walk.
TUITION: $35 - $55 SLIDING SCALE (plus processing fees)
SUPPORT NATURE CONNECTION: Please consider making an additional donation to help TreeSong, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Anything helps and we thank you in advance!
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has." — Margaret Mead
PROCESSING FEES ARE ONLY APPLIED TO TUITION AMOUNTS, NEVER DONATIONS.
