Restoring Eden

How You Can Help Honeybees and Other Pollinators
in Your Home Garden or Landscape

We are rescheduling this class for a later date.
Details TBD.

The work of pollinators underpin our very existence on the planet, contributing to the proliferation of fruit-bearing flowering plants on which mammals, like us humans, rely.  Honeybees are responsible for pollinating one-third of the food we eat.  Their lives are in peril.  Learn how you can become an ally to the bees and other pollinators in your home garden, landscape, or planter.  Join landscape designer, contractor and beekeeper Melissa Elliott to learn more about organic land care practices for both large and small scales, planting design ideas and methods, specific native and ornamental plants the bees adore, as well as how to help if you don’t have space but love bees!  This is your chance to ask an expert.  Your garden and bee questions are welcome.

Tuition:  $20-$30 (sliding scale)
Online registration, click here.

Melissa with beesMelissa has a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon and is a Licensed Landscape Contractor in Washington and Oregon.  She has designed, built and maintained over 150 acres of organic gardens in the Portland Metro Area and in the Columbia River Gorge and continues to do so today. Melissa combines 25 years of transforming landscapes with honeybee knowledge and assessorship and invites her clients to step into a world of health and healing through their gardens. She is available as a consultant and educator for individuals and organizations seeking direction in the establishment of extraordinary gardens and hives, as well as those seeking a holistic form of healing. She is the owner of Melissa Bees, trade name of Melissa Elliott Landscape Design and Construction, L.L.C., and is a member of the American Apitherapy Society.
