A TINY HOME THAT COULD MAKE A GIANT DIFFERENCE!: TreeSong is a small non-profit in Washougal, Washington, whose mission is to foster stewardship of, and connection to, nature, community and self through programs for adults, children and families. In the four years since it started, TreeSong has served 1,575 children and adults. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has arisen that could help TreeSong expand its programming and philanthropic outreach to underserved populations. The HGTV show “Tiny Luxury” has offered to feature TreeSong on one of its episodes, in which Portland-based builder Tiny Heirloom builds a tiny home that will become part of the center’s grounds! Not only will this added facility allow us to expand our program offerings, but the exposure we receive from being on the show will help us raise awareness about our organization and take TreeSong’s important work to the next level. Plus, with its small, environmentally friendly footprint and use of green materials and technology, a tiny home is a perfect fit for TreeSong. Best of all, Tiny Heirloom has reduced the price of the tiny home by more than half, from $89,000 to $41,000. We have already raised $32,000 through donations and loans from private parties and now we’re asking for your help to raise the rest!
