TreeSong’s first official program offering- a wonderful way to kick off Summer!

 

TreeSong Native Plant Walk for grown-ups and children 5 and up,
Saturday, June 22nd, 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Come and join us for the inaugural Native Plant Walk at TreeSong! Together Tracy and Laura will lead you through the paths in and around TreeSong and introduce you to the plants that live and grow here. We will learn some of the many uses of the native plants that grow around us here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

$20/adult, $12/child

About the facilitators:

Tracy Tracy Bosnian, JH, CH, CNT, takes great delight in herbs and food, which makes her chosen path perfect for her. She has been teaching medicinal herbalism classes since 1995. She completed her studies as a Chartered Herbalist from Dominion Herbal College in 2001. In 2005 she graduated as a Certified Nutritional Therapist. Tracy is currently practicing as a Nutritional Therapist and Western Herbalist in Portland, OR.

SUMMER FUN FOR KIDS!

Roots and Wings Nature Adventures Day Camp  is designed to support and nurture children ages 4-8  in their developing connection to self, others and nature.   Through nature awareness activities and games, as well as art, movement, singing, meditation and storytelling, children will be able to participate in a rich learning experience and a deepening of their knowledge and sense of the natural world around them.

July 8, 9 and 10: Session 1* of Roots and Wings Nature Adventures Day Camp for ages 4-8. 10am to 2pm, $120.

July 22, 23 and 24: Session 2* of Roots and Wings Nature Adventures Day Camp for ages 4-8. 10am to 2pm, $120.

 *Each session’s activities and content will be different, so participating in both is certainly an option.

Nature Adventures with a Fairy Flair  is a week-long program for ages 8-12 which inspires nature awareness through an immersion into the forest at TreeSong and its inhabitants:  animal, plant and… otherwise.  Fairies and elves and sprites are said to abound around TreeSong!  Through activities designed to awaken the senses, hone physical agility and support a burgeoning knowledge of the natural world around them,  children will gain a deepening connection to the magic present in every moment.  Storytelling, art, movement, meditation and singing will all be part of the fun!                                                              

August 19-23: Nature Adventures with a Fairy Flair for ages 8-12. 10am to 3pm, $250.

me with kids treeMichelle Baumann, Founder and Executive Director of TreeSong, will be the  facilitator of all the Children’s Summer Camps, fulfilling a 13 year dream to support the wholeness of children (and families) through nature-based exploration and learning. She’s been a teacher of young children for almost 30 years, teaching Art, Spanish, Preschool, Maiden Spirit (program for 9-13 year old girls) and Children’s Yoga!  She’s  also a mother of two and a massage therapist with a private practice in downtown Vancouver.
